Helen Davies

Helen is a fellow member of the Association of Tax Technicians ATT(Fellow) and an Associate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners STEP.

After graduating as a mature student and qualifying to join the Association of Tax Technicians, Helen joined Magentum in 2004. She was promoted to Associate Director in April 2017 and currently manages the Tax Compliance Team in the Basingstoke Office on a day-to-day basis, supporting and reporting to the Directors. 

Helen has 18 years’ experience of working closely with non-UK resident Trustees, Settlors and Beneficiaries of offshore trust structures providing UK tax advice and compliance services. Her work focuses on Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Pre-Tax Year End Planning for Offshore Trustees, Non-Resident Landlords Scheme, Consequences of Winding up Offshore Structures, Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings, Residence and Domicile issues for Trustees and Individuals.

Away from the office, Helen enjoys yoga, swimming, growing flowers and long walks in the English countryside with friends. In 2020 she completed the 26-mile Clarendon Way charity walk from Winchester to Salisbury Cathedral. Helen has also worked as Treasurer on village committees and as a volunteer for TOP (Tax help for Older People).
